res-edit: quit requires absurd key sequence (esc, ctrl+;, q, enter[, ctrl+x, y]) #13

Delete branch "%!s()"
Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
Bug
Closing res-edit requires a ridiculous key sequence:
esc→ctrl+;→q→enter(4 steps)esc→ctrl+;→q→enter→ctrl+x→y(6 steps!)Expected
Per the standardized ctrl+XYZ contract (see #7): a single quit binding (e.g.
ctrl+xnano-style). If the buffer is clean, quit immediately. If dirty, prompt save/discard inline — not a modal chain.Quitting should be 1 step (clean) or 2 steps (dirty + confirm), never 4–6.
Why this matters
This is the modal-hell problem the nano-style redesign exists to kill. Every extra step is a papercut that compounds across all residual tools.
